Abstract
The aim of this paper is the design and creation of educational material designed using distance learning methods to cultivate a love of reading in fourth-grade students through the use of games (creative, theatrical, board games) as a pedagogical tool. The educational material was created using H5P software and took into account the West-Lionarakis model and Mayer's theory of multimedia learning. The results of the research highlighted the importance of games, especially digital games, as a tool for cultivating a love of reading. However, not all teachers are familiar with the use of games in the educational process, and not all of them feel equally comfortable designing new games and game variations inspired by the story of a book.
