Ανεστραμμένη Μάθηση και Θεατρικές Τεχνικές στην Εκπαίδευση για τη Βιωσιμότητα: Μια Παιδαγωγική Παρέμβαση στην Πρωτοβάθμια Εκπαίδευση
Abstract
The current study presents an educational intervention that was implemented for 4th grade primary school students with the aim of cultivating environmental awareness through the combined use of the flipped classroom and theatrical techniques. The intervention is embedded in the framework of education for sustainable development and utilizes the eClass platform to provide theoretical material to students before the lesson, shifting the focus of the learning process within the classroom to experiential and participatory activities. In the second stage, educational drama techniques, such as role-playing and the creation of theatre scenes, were used, with topics such as marine pollution, fires and recycling. Data were collected through questionnaires, participant observation and discussions with pupils. The results show that students developed empathy, were emotionally activated, reflected and took initiatives. Their experience through theatrical expression reinforced their connection to sustainability concepts, making learning more meaningful and lasting. The combined approach is proposed as an effective pedagogical model for experiential learning in primary school.
