Empowering Young Minds: Integrating AI into STEAM Teaching Approach for Primary and Early Childhood Education.
Abstract
The rapid development of artificial intelligence (AI) presents unique opportunities to reshape educational methodologies, especially in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education. This paper explores the integration of AI technologies into primary school and Early Childhood Education (ECE) STEAM teaching processes to enhance pedagogic outcomes and foster critical skills in young learners. Through practical applications of AI, such as personalized learning platforms, interactive simulations, and AI-driven creative projects, educators can engage students more dynamically and effectively in complex subjects and notions. By analyzing case studies, pedagogical theories, and recent advancements, this paper addresses the potential benefits and challenges of implementing AI in primary and pre-school STEAM education. The findings suggest that when appropriately integrated, AI can not only support cognitive development but also stimulate creativity, problem-solving, and collaborative skills among primary students, paving the way for a more inclusive and future-ready education system.
