Critical Thinking and Creativity in E-Learning: Prerequisites for the Sustainable Use of Artificial Intelligence
Abstract
The present article examines the role of generative artificial intelligence (GAI) in fostering critical thinking and creativity within the context of e-learning in higher education. Leveraging tools such as ChatGPT, GAI facilitates personalized learning pathways, enables automated assessment processes, and supports the development of original academic work. Concurrently, the article addresses key ethical and practical considerations, including algorithmic transparency and the preservation of academic integrity. It concludes with recommendations for institutional policies and targeted training programs aimed at the sustainable integration of GAI, with a view to cultivating an efficient, inclusive, and environmentally responsible educational ecosystem.
