Abstract
This paper discusses the e-learning environment for the teaching of history which is part of the EDIAMME. This was initially designed for the teaching of Greek as a foreign language. The current paper consists of two parts: the first part where we discuss the learning principles within which the e-learning environment was designed and the second part where we present its potential for teaching and learning.
