Factors of effective practical use of Multiple Intelligences Theory in Distance Education
Abstract
The present study concerns the application of Gardner's Multiple Intelligences Theory (MI Theory) in Distance Education (DE). Its purpose was to investigate, identify and clarify the factors that could contribute to the effective practical use of MI Theory in DE. This research is a literature review in which 26 studies were selected and reviewed, focusing on the scientific data of the last decade (2013-2023). The findings clarify the factors that could collaborate in the effective use of MI Theory in DE, which are mainly related to scientific and technological development, learning content and materials, and the role of DE teachers, parents, educational institutions and the State.
