Abstract

According to the resolution of Greek Ministry of Education, Religious Affairs and Sports as far as the teaching of French as a foreign language is concerned, for the school year 2023-2024, it is recommended the Method J’aime 1 and J’aime 2 of the Publishing Company CLE International. The above Method is proposed for the fifth and sixth grade of Primary school as well as for the first and second grade of Junior High School in accordance with the Common program of foreign languages. From the title of this method, it is evident that the primary objective is the student to adore the language by using both technological symbols and means which attract their interest.  The present research attempts to examine how the serious escape game, which constitutes the main part of each unit of the J’aime 1 Method, leads to the achievement of language and communication competences by creating an active learning environment and enhancing the students ’skills. Both the conclusion and the suggestions which are mentioned in this article constitute the basis and the motivation, at the same time, for further studies of that Method which begins its “journey” as an internal part of teaching at school.
