Abstract

The purpose of this research is to study the application of HL to 5th grade students of primary school in the Language course, using the Digital Educational Platform e-me. For the needs of the research, educational material was designed, the assessment framework was organized, an educational intervention was conducted and quantitative and qualitative data analysis was performed. The research results showed the advantages that facilitate the providing of education focusing on the achievement of learning objectives.  The intervention showed that HL helps to the enrichment of knowledge and experiences, to a better administration of study time, to the maintenance of interest, to instant feedback and to familiarization with technology. However, the research showed that the HL has  disadvantages, such as it requires time for preparation and implementation, which makes it  difficult due to the curriculum and the amount of the material which is to be taught, the negative attitude of parents to the implementation of innovative approaches, the financial burden and the lack of autonomy of the students. Finally, the research showed that students have positive views on HL through e-me, as they consider it is a pleasant and interesting process and they prefer it to traditional teaching.
