The enhancement of the professional and pedagogical autonomy of the teacher by the principal - The development of a culture of cooperation and continuous improvement of teachers
Abstract
This paper is part of the field of experiences and practices of teacher training as presented by sources published in Greece and abroad. Through the relevant literature review conducted between two studies in secondary schools in the Netherlands and in primary schools in Greece, the vital role of school culture is promoting a positive school climate and effectiveness of both teaching staff and students is outlined. The principal has a primary role in shaping school culture. Focuses on the professional and pedagogical autonomy of the teacher, aims to develop a culture of cooperation, trust and continuous improvement of teachers. The introduction starts by stating its motivation, presents the researches synthetically, lists the research hypotheses - questions, describes the methodological approach, records the findings of the researches, highlighting the main conclusions regarding the trends that dominate in the field of teacher training.
