Abstract
Open and Distance Education (ODE), with the potential that information and communication technologies (ICT) profess, attests to a rapid development of the educational process and a subsequent augmented reinforcement, with additional options that are harmonized both with the current socio-political developments, the culture identity of the digital age and the requirements of a multi-sensory and multidisciplinary approach of learning which, by association, refer to Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligence. To this end, the diversity and multiplicity that condition ODE to the ground of Gardner’s Theory of Multiple Intelligence are explored, having as their key reference core the corresponding multiple activation and further learning progress of the trainees in the ODE areas by reclaiming ICT. Through analysis, we have noted the existence of tangential points between the diverse dimension of ODE, as a teaching and learning process, and the Theory of Multiple Intelligence which is reinforced through the correlation of online/digital means and the trainees’ potential multidimensional development.
