Abstract
The article presents and analyzes the challenges faced in the process of designing educational material in the context of cultural adaptation of distance learning for adult refugees who reside in Greece. The presentation is based on an interdisciplinary research carried out in the framework of the project P.R.E.S.S. (Provision of Refugee Education and Support Program) and in particular the subsequent implementation of the actions 21 and 22 of the project, which aim at adapting existing educational material to meet the needs and social conditions of the target population. In particular, the presentation examines issues of educational and cultural adaptation of material focusing mainly on the following questions: a) how the educational content can better respond to the conditions of mobility and the emergency faced by many trainees; b) how the educational material, through diverse and diverse activities, meets the diverse needs of large audiences in distance learning (gender, age, ethnicity, etc.); c) which factors influenced the choice of the edited material as it is a "first" meeting of trainees with the European education system and d) what role did the access of learners to technological infrastructure have in designing the form and content of the educational material. The results of the implementation of the action and the feedback from a layered sample of adult refugees will inform the redesign and the widening of theoretical approach of the project.
