Abstract
The present announcement pertains to a research on the Dissertations accomplished since the opening of the Postgraduate Programme of the Hellenic Open University “French Language Teachers Specialisation” until today.
Its aim is to reach certain conclusions on the particular Dissertations and their results, focusing in particular on the papers which meet most closely the set criteria on the writing and evaluation.
More precisely, an effort to examine the quantitative and qualitative characteristics of the Postgraduate Dissertations is being made, and highlight their contribution to the domain of Teaching French as a Foreign Language.
The presentation of the particular study consists of:
1. the type of research, its aim, the sample examined and the methodology applied,
2. the quantitative and qualitative data on the gender, the range of topics covered and the marking of the Postgraduate Dissertations that were completed between 2002-2015 and
3. the quantitative data (target group, level of language learning) of the best Postgraduate Dissertations from 2012 until 2015, as well as a thorough qualitative analysis of their theoretical and practical / research value.
