Ένα καινοτόμο διδακτικό σενάριο με Τεχνητή Νοημοσύνη στο νηπιαγωγείο: Καλλιέργεια δεξιοτήτων του 21ου αιώνα
Abstract
This paper examines the role of educational policy in Greece in the process of digital transformation of education, with particular focus on the challenges and opportunities related to the introduction of Artificial Intelligence (AI). From the first initiatives such as the Odyssey program and teacher training programs, to the Digital School and the shift to distance education during the COVID-19 pandemic, Greek educational policy has sought to strengthen digital infrastructure and competences, though often in a fragmented manner. The paper explores the institutional and pedagogical implications of AI, highlighting weaknesses in strategic planning, regulatory frameworks and innovation culture, while also pointing to the potential of AI to support personalized learning, formative assessment and the development of 21st-century skills. The paper concludes with policy recommendations emphasizing the need for a comprehensive national AI strategy in education, investment in infrastructure, continuous teacher professional development, and the establishment of guidelines for the ethical and responsible use of AI in Greek schools.
