Αλληλεπίδραση και κοινωνική παρουσία στις τηλε - ΟΣΣ: Μελέτη περίπτωσης ΕΚΠ65
Abstract
Distance education is not merely a technical solution but rather a learning environment in which human presence must be redefined through new forms of expression and connection. This study examines the role of social presence and interaction within the Group Counseling Meetings (Ο.Σ.Σ.) of the EKP65 module at the Hellenic Open University, with particular emphasis on how these dimensions can transform the learning experience.
Anchored in the Community of Inquiry (CoI) framework, the research seeks to capture both the processes occurring during the meetings and the manner in which they are experienced by students. A mixed-methods design, incorporating questionnaires and a focus group, was employed to elicit participants’ perspectives, concerns, needs, and expectations. The findings indicate that interaction, when genuine and meaningful, contributes to the strengthening of social presence and fosters a learning environment marked by relevance, engagement, and depth. The study contributes to the bridging of theory and practice by advancing recommendations aimed at enhancing interaction and enriching the distance learning experience within the context of Group Counseling Meetings.
