Parametric Design of Educational Applications for Distance Education: A Systematic Approach with Artificial Intelligence
Abstract
In modern educational practice, distance learning has substantially contributed with many emerging educational benefits, especially after the COVID-19 pandemic. This paper analyzes and describes a systematic approach, which focuses on the automated creation of HTML5 educational applications through parametric design and artificial intelligence. For this reason, a prototype web application was developed that collects educational parameters, proposes three alternative implementation scenarios through artificial intelligence and generates structured prompts for Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools. Regarding the methodology, accessibility principles, responsive design and differentiated distance learning approaches have been incorporated. The results show that this type of approach facilitates the rapid development of educational applications, which adapt to different educational environments and needs. At the same time, examples of applications for Chemistry were successfully created, demonstrating the effectiveness of the method. Therefore, this paper highlights the contribution of Parametric Design of Educational Applications for Distance Education, helping to bridge the gap between the educational requirements for creating multimedia applications and the lack of technical knowledge for their implementation, offering an ideal solution to the creation of personalized educational tools.
