Abstract

This study explores the social dimension of Educational Robotics within the framework of blended learning, through a literature review of recent research and studies. It focuses on how Educational Robotics, when integrated into learning environments that combine face-to-face and distance education, can enhance social interaction, collaboration, and inclusion. The study highlights the need for pedagogically grounded practices and the development of appropriate assessment tools, as well as the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration for creating inclusive and sustainable learning experiences.

The findings indicate that the social dimension of Educational Robotics often remains underestimated in the relevant literature, despite its potential to support socio-emotional skills. Positive outcomes are also highlighted in terms of strengthening collaborative learning, active engagement, and the empowerment of students’ social presence in blended learning environments. Therefore, it is proposed that research and educational practice be strengthened with an emphasis on inclusive, socially sensitive approaches that harness the potential of robotics in blended learning.
