Abstract
This article reports the results of a case study in a group of postgraduate students at the Hellenic Open University. The aim was to confirm the existence of the three elements of Garrison’s, Anderson’s and Archer’s Community of Inquiry framework: cognitive presence, social presence and teaching presence. The results of this study confirm the interaction between these three elements and their impact on learning outcomes. But, due to lack of active participation of the majority of group members, we cannot describe this group as a Community of Inquiry.
