Wikis, a very important technology of Web 2.0, present themselves as an interesting tool for enhancing learning environments. Nowadays, Wikis are very popular owing to their powerful features when used in well crafted educational activities. In this work we focus on the use of Wikis in a classroom environment. In this context, an asynchronous online course was developed by the Interorthodox Center of the Greek Church and the Pedagogical Institute. The case study presents in detail the Wiki’s conceptual framework, a chronology, the benefits of its use in education, the course goals, its structure, the estimated results, the estimated time of completion, the methodology, the learners background and the results assessment.
