Abstract
This paper presents preliminary findings of an empirical, pilot research study conducted by the Activities Research Team of Educational Content, Methodology and Technology Laboratory (E-Co-MeT Lab). Focus of the study has been a) to explore Hellenic Open University’s (HOU) students’ attitudes on Learning Activity Management System (LAMS) categories of tools, b) to explore students’ attitudes towards e moderator’s role during the implementation of online learning activities. Design research methodology has been implemented for developing the LAMS activities: HOU tutors have been provided with methodological tools for the actual design of the activities, implemented in real academic settings. Quantitative data are presented regarding students’ attitudes on categories of LAMS tools and e moderator’s role during the implemented activity.
