Training Human Resources by the Economic Chamber of Greece under the Lifelong Learning Programme (LLP) and Economic Development

Abstract
In the current paper is represented the constant need for continuous education of human resources via lifelong learning. Initially it is presented a short historical development of lifelong learning and also the necessity of the implementation of lifelong learning while finally is presented the polices of European Union for lifelong learning in regard of education and training. It is stressed the need for training of citizens in their adult life via lifelong learning in order to be more efficient and competitive for the needs of todays universalized and information society. In sequence it is presented the course of implementation of the training seminars that held by the Greek chamber of Economy and specifically by the 12th regionally department of Dodecanese for lifelong learning and continuous training for economist as well as citizens of Rhodes with main topics: lifelong learning, development of personal skills and communication, management of human resources. Finally, we present the results of the research which are especially encouraging for the correlation of life ling learning and Economic Development.
