Abstract
The utilization of ICT in education has a long history both in our country and abroad. Thus, much experience has been gained and presented in the literature. Based on that, most of today’s researchers or active teachers would agree that the introduction of ICT in the classroom has benefits for the educational process. On the contrary, the main field of skepticism is nowadays focused on the identification of the most appropriate technological intervention, taking into account that the current economic crisis demands the optimal utilization of the reduced funding. In order to give answers to such questions, it is necessary to evaluate the actions that have been implemented so that the appropriate feedback can help avoiding wrong decision in the future. In this framework, this paper describes the first phases of the evaluation of the action “Pupils’ laptop” that was implemented in Greek schools (school year 2009-10) and more specifically the preparation of the appropriate questionnaire, as well as the research methodology that was selected.
