Abstract

“Workshop for the Future” is an educational technique, applicable in problematic situations when engaged participants, tend to search for solutions and make concrete action plans to cope with the problem. In this paper we will present the implementation of this technique in the tutorials of the thematic unit “Open and Distance Learning”. The title of the workshop was “Essay writing in Distance Learning” which implemented according to its principles. During the workshop some specific problems emerged, which students have to deal with, while writing their essays . The students participating in the workshop suggested certain means to cope with the problems, and were committed to adopt the methods suggested.
