Corporate identity design and educational material of the online 3D environment of educational simulation of the biology laboratory ONLABS

Abstract
Within the frame of this thesis, we have examined design proposals for corporate identity and for the educational material of the online 3D environment of educational simulation of the biology laboratory ONLABS. The main target of this design study is the graphical and verbal depiction of the educational role, the characteristics and the purpose of the biology laboratory ONLABS. Therefore, in the context of the thesis, some major issues were highlighted, such as the descriptor line creation and the emphasis on the design idea and on the form/antiform study. We underlined the design study of the logotype, its legibility as well as the creation of the educational material -that is corporate identity (envelope, business card, letter paper)- but we also emphasized on the corporate video creation as a way to point out the logotype, which was chosen through a review process, a conclusion reaching method and also through the repeated design model. As a result of brainstorming, the proper logotypes and creative concepts were proposed. There were also many more design proposals for the educational material containing the chosen corporate identity (poster, conference badge, social media applications). The fact that the corporate identity and the logotype will be used as the communication identity of the ONLABS platform was both a scientific and design challenge.
