Abstract

Distance education as a teaching and learning method refers to an organically structured set of tools and processes that refer to educational material, teaching methods, communication between trainer and trainee, support and evaluation of trainees. An integral part of this structured ensemble also compiles the written work, as through them trainees conquer knowledge and learn to create. In this paper we present on the difficulties faced by distance learning trainees in the writing of their written work. First of all, we will explain the importance of investigating these difficulties and focus our attention on the nature of these difficulties while focusing on our interest and ways of removing them. Next, we will present five empirical researches on the difficulty of writing written assignments and will make a creative synthesis of their findings with a parallel proposal for further investigation.
