Abstract
This paper presents four iterations made to experimental activities on heat conduction, in order to introduce the teaching of aspects of the Nature of Scientific Inquiry (NOSI) in them, following the current proposals in science education. Pickering's theoretical framework was utilised to articulate the iterations. In summary, the changes refer to the use of inquiry strategies (model 5E) and the teaching and use of inquiry practices (control of variables, measurement errors), as well as explicit and reflective teaching of aspects of NOSI.
