Planning Activities to Organize a Visit to the AUTh Meteorological Observatory in the Context of Non-Formal Education

Abstract

This paper deals with designing activities for students' visit to the Meteorological Station of the Department of Meteorology and Climatology of the School of Geology, of AUTH. The activities aim to prepare students before the visit, familiarize them with measurement instruments during the visit, and enhance their experience after the visit. In the three stages of the didactical intervention, students come into contact with instruments for measuring meteorological parameters and interpret graphs by completing worksheets in groups, developing skills in collaboration, observation, interpretation, and critical thinking.
