Pre-service Elementary teachers’ views on the use of digital learning objects for teaching climate change

Abstract

This work focuses on the views of preservice teachers on the educational use of Digital Learning Objects (DLOs) for climate change education. The examined DLOs have the form of graphic representations, digital games, interactive videos, etc. Data from the 17 preservice primary education teachers who participated in the research were collected through audio recordings of their discussions and questionnaires. The findings indicate that preservice teachers recognize the potential of using DLOs for teaching climate change, particularly in terms of conducting investigations and data visualisation.
