Abstract

A positive attitude towards science seems to be associated with better performance in related subjects. On the other hand, it appears that students’ participation in laboratory activities improves their attitude towards science. In this study, we investigated the attitude of 63 physics students towards chemistry and the relationship of their attitude with their participation in an optional laboratory activity. The participants have a slightly positive attitude towards chemistry, while their participation in the laboratory activity does not seem to correlate with their attitude.
