Abstract
Plants are a key pillar in the functioning of the ecosystem, but people often overlook and underestimate them. Based on the causes of the phenomenon "Plant blindness", the curricula of all Early Childhood Education Departments of Greek universities were examined. Specifically, all courses were examined through a quantitative and a qualitative approach to clarify whether they have explicit references to plants. Additionally, the courses that could have included plant organisms in their content were spotted. According to the results, there is a limited presence of plants as a subject matter in the Greek Early Childhood Education Departments despite the abundance of courses that could include them.
