Η εκπαιδευτική καινοτομία στην ελληνική σχολική πραγματικότητα και η αυτονομία της σχολικής μονάδας
Abstract
Educational innovation is a series of actions containing and promoting new perceptions on education, regarding the change of principles and beliefs, the implementation of a new educational
approach and the use of innovative educational means (Dakopoulou, 2008). However, the effective implementation of an innovation depends significantly on the participation of the educators themselves in the process (Spyropoulou, Vavouraki, Koutra, Louka & Bouras, 2007). Therefore, in this paper, we are called upon to investigate whether a school unit within the Greek educational system can organize educational innovations, as well as the correlation between these innovations and the centrally designed educational policy, and the particular role played by the teachers and the school Director in the management of changes, these changes being a product of the initative of members of the school system.
