Η ικανοποίηση των μαθητών ως βασικός πυλώνας της Διοίκησης Ποιότητας στη Δευτεροβάθμια Εκπαίδευση
Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to investigate on what degree Total Quality Management principles are being applied during the operation of the secondary education in the region of Attica, focalizing on the sector of students’ satisfaction based on teachers’ perceptions. The sample under examination consists of secondary education teachers (N=232). Data collection was realized by using a questionnaire fabricated for the specific research, thus analyzes were carried out utilizing the SPSS 19.0 statistical tool. The results indicate a moderate implementation degree of quality management principles in the sector mentioned above. Moreover, the particular statistical analyzes identify differences between teachers’ perceptions, which are influenced by the gender, the job status, the age, the educational level and the school type, as well as the teaching experience. Furthermore eight factors where deduced via the application of factor analysis method in teachers’ perceptions data. According to the research we assume that students’ satisfaction could be improved, via meliorating critical factors like personal behavior of teachers and via demonstrating greater attention to the issue of satisfaction of students and measuring the satisfaction thereof.
