Abstract
The following article takes part in the scientific discussion concerning lifelong learning education as well as its interaction with the labor- market reinforcement policies. In particular, the article focuses on the lifelong learning educational policies that are implemented by the Greek Manpower Employment Organization (O.A.E.D.). In the first part the notion of lifelong learning education is defined and studied together with the purpose it has to fulfil in a fast moving era. Subsequently, a resume of the Greek Manpower Employment Organization’s offered services and, moreover, a focus on the importance of lifelong learning programs as part of its policies are presented. Conclusively, the interplay between lifelong learning education and thepolicies directed to reduce unemployment is attempted to be described. This article demonstrates that labor-market’s instability makes lifelong learning education an imperative need, given the fact that it helps individuals to develop certain social skills.
