Abstract

Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) have revolutionized almost every aspect of human life. Due to technological developments, there has been a significant change in the way ICT and its digital tools have gained a place in society and furthermore have the potential to enhance teaching. A modern teaching approach for the Religious Studies course is the utilization of ICT in the teaching of the course, as it will upgrade the course and make it more interesting for students. This work refers to a didactic proposal that aims for the students to come into contact and get to know the church of Saint Sophia, the various types of Christian art and to express previous religious experiences. ICT activities include a virtual tour of the church of Saint Sophia via the Internet, creating a dictionary through Genially, completing a crossword created in Crossword Labs, painting with Natural Art, and presenting the types of Christian art through the PowerPoint. The specific teaching plan presented in this paper is recommended for students of the last two grades of Primary school.
