Διερεύνηση Εθισμού στο Διαδίκτυο στη Λαμία

Abstract

The present research project aims to contribute to the study of Internet addiction phenomenon and the potential relationship with the gender and age, within the adolescents, in the city of Lamia. The survey was conducted using the Young Diagnostic Questionnaire via an online application. The method seems to be reliable, presents easy and fast data collection and management, has low demands on research resources. The results of the survey suggest that 15% of the children who participated in the survey were Internet addicted. Measuring and evaluating Internet addiction symptoms, through the implementation of research projects such as the present, can help to design mental health education programs for adolescent students, as well as information, awareness and training programs for parents and teachers.
