Abstract

Vocational education and training is a matter of major importance for the development of human capital as well as for the strengthening of economic activity, productivity and competitiveness. In this context, apprenticeship is an educational model that has begun to develop in recent decades across European countries. The aim of apprenticeship is to prepare the candidate workers to acquire knowledge and to develop skills and competences for a better integration into the labor market. In this paper an integrated mentoring model is presented, aiming at optimizing the mentoring relationship and maximizing the effectiveness of the apprenticeship in the frame of Vocational Education and Training and Adult Education.
