The space of music in kindergarten school: from the music corner to music actions
Abstract
The purpose of this current study is to examine the field of music education focused on the Pre-school education and particularly how the organized space of music in the kindergarten classroom facilitates and enhances both the organized musical activities, based on the goals that Kindergarten’s Curriculum and the teacher sets, and spontaneous musical ideas and actions developed by students during the teaching process. The matter will be studied, at first literature, from the relationship of music and space, following up the definition of issues and settings occurred from the organization and creation of the individual space for music and, from the side of research, the equipment availability, musical and audiovisual generally, that every kindergarten’s music space has, the space and the usefulness that this corner has and also the part that kindergarten has and then from point of children’s musical development and use of creative materials through the music space and also if they are experimenting and co-operate. The data, for this issue, was collected by questionnaires that active kindergarten teachers filled in.
