Abstract
This literature review examines students' misconceptions that affect their understanding regarding ionizing and non-ionizing radiation. Using the PRISMA methodology, the study compiles data from scientific articles, focusing on the main patterns of these perceptions and the research methods used to investigate them. The analysis indicates that many students struggle to distinguish between different categories of radiation as well as between the risks and benefits stemming from their use. In conclusion, investigating these misconceptions is essential for understanding students' thinking and attitudes toward radiation.
