Abstract
This paper presents a teaching proposal for introducing secondary education students to the use of the piezoelectric phenomenon for energy harvesting. By combining Project – Based Learning (PBL) with the Predict – Observe – Explain (POE) model, students experimentally investigate the phenomenon, develop circuits, and connect theoretical concepts with real-life applications. The proposed approach fosters active engagement, enhances the understanding of fundamental scientific principles, and cultivates essential skills such as critical thinking and problem-solving. The piezoelectric phenomenon is highlighted as a valuable educational subject for promoting sustainable development and energy management.
