Abstract

This paperpresentsa teaching approach of the historical controversy over the nature of cathode rays. The approach focuses on analyzing the debate between the wave and particle nature of cathode rays, highlighting the scientific and social conditions that influenced the evolution of knowledge. It includes phases of historical context, virtual experiments, data analysis, and reflection, aiming at understanding scientific methodology, and promotingstudents' interest in science.
