Abstract

The following workshop proposal suggests an original educational approach to socio-scientific issues (SSI), which are likely to come up in primary or secondary education, according to the Curricula. The activities focus on participants’ engagement with the socioscientific issue of the colonization of space. Upon completion of the workshop, participants will be able to comprehend and apply the methodology of approaching socioscientific issues and argumentation in their teaching, through their familiarization with the different perspectives on the issues of space exploration and space settlement.
