Abstract

In this teaching proposal, students will identify the type of structural particles and the chemical bond by which they are connected in specific materials. The identification is done through experimental activities related to the chapter on electricity. For this purpose, students construct an electrical circuit from its "elements", classify materials into conductors and insulators, and then prepare solutions of three chemical compounds and test their conductivity. Finally, they interpret the experimental results and, through reconstructed texts, find the carriers of the electric current in each case, the structural particles and the type of chemical bond that exists in the three chemical compounds.
