Abstract
Including modern scientific theories and technological applications in the educational process is a perennial request from researchers and educators. But in practice, there are several difficulties regarding this. The present paper tries to bring to the educational foreground a new category of solvents with a "green" character, amazing properties and environmentally friendly applications, the ionic liquids. In addition, proposals are made for integrating ionic liquids in education, at school or university level.
