Symposium B (Synopsis): Relationships between inquiry views and practices in science education: Theoretical approach and applications

Abstract

In this symposium, a part of the results of a research project titled: «Investigation and correlation of inquiry views and practices of teachers who teach Science in formal and non-formal environments» was described. (H.F.R.I. - https://sti.web.uowm.gr/en/home/). This project was implemented during 2021-2023 in the school of Social Science and Humanities of the UoWM. In order to study the relationship between inquiry views and practices, we developed a theoretical model to study the links between inquiry-based science views and practices to point out common features of these links and ultimately make use of them in teachers’ professional development.
