Investigation of the Lyceum students’ knowledge about history of Physics

Abstract
International research has highlighted the importance of teaching the History of Physics for a more comprehensive understanding of Physics concepts and phenomena by students. Nevertheless, in the modern educational process, adequate emphasis is not placed on this aspect of teaching, resulting in students acquiring incomplete knowledge. In this paper, we present the results of the statistical analysis of data obtained from the processing of a questionnaire given to students from three high schools. The purpose of the questionnaire was to investigate students' knowledge regarding significant physicists whose discoveries have greatly contributed to the development of the field.
