Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has contributed to reshaping value systems for environmental sustainability. At the same time, the imposed social isolation highlighted the need to design innovative educational practices oriented toward digital technology. The cultivation of basic 21st-century skills, such as computational thinking and environmental awareness, is considered particularly important even in preschool and can be achieved by applying interdisciplinary education, utilizing cutting-edge technological tools, and adopting engaging educational practices such as robotics. In the present study, we propose novel educational approaches aimed at simultaneously cultivating computational thinking and environmental awareness through robotics in early childhood education.
