Abstract

Natural selection is an essential concept for the science of biology, with many misconceptions and difficulties in its understanding. A simulation of the mechanism of natural selection has been developed by the University of Colorado Boulder that allows students to explore and understand it. In the context of the research, postgraduate students of teaching natural sciences design a course using this application. Similarities were observed in their goals, regardless of the level they are aimed at, while most made the most of all the possibilities of the application.
