Abstract

The study investigates the effect of a teaching intervention for the centripetal acceleration and angular velocity relationship on the better understanding of circular motion of 71 sixth grade students, with the help of sensors provided by smartphones and the "Phyphox" application. A questionnaire that was provided to students before and after the teaching intervention was used to collect the data. This was followed by the analysis of the answers of the three-tier test that was given. The data analysis showed that the teaching intervention significantly contributed to the modification of the students' alternative ideas on the specific subject.
