Primary teachers’ views on a digital blended learning module on climate change

Abstract

This study presents the perspectives of both pre-service and in-service teachers in primary education concerning the potential utilization of diverse Blended Learning approaches in Science Education. According to the results, the views of both groups focus on the asynchronous parts of the Blended Learning types, which depending on the teaching phase in which they are conducted, perceive either as a limitation due to the absence of a teacher or as an opportunity due to the saving time, which can be devoted to more demanding teaching phases. However, teachers' views appear a preference for Replacement Blend to support Climate Change teaching.
