Abstract

The goal of this study is to present Greek Middle School students’ moral values related to sustainable food consumption, exploring two aspects of their moral thinking: their moral judgments and moral motivations about food choices. Data was collected through the use of 60 closed-form main items of a questionnaire that was administered to 262 9th grade students. Analysis revealed that participants expressed moral judgments that are not in line with the vision of food sustainability, while they tended to adopt more often non-moral motivations, in relation to moral ones, on their food consumption choices.
