Human Capital and Economic Growth: A Case Study of Greece before Economic Crisis

Αυτό το άρθρο μελετά τη συμβολή της εκπαίδευσης στην οικονομική μεγέθυνση της Ελλάδας κατά τη διάρκεια της περιόδου 1960-2006.  Η μέθοδος εκτίμησης βασίζεται στο θεωρητικό υπόδειγμα του E. Denison που περιγράφει την «ποιοτική εργασία» (qualitative labor). Σύμφωνα με το θεωρητικό αυτό υπόδειγμα εκτιμάται η συμβολή του εκπαιδευμένου, ανά βαθμίδα εκπαίδευσης, εργατικού δυναμικού στην οικονομική μεγέθυνση της Ελλάδας.

Αυτή η μελέτη έχει χρησιμοποιήσει στοιχεία από τους Εθνικούς Λογαριασμούς, την έρευνα εργατικού δυναμικού και τους οικογενειακούς προϋπολογισμούς της ΕΣΥΕ.

 

Τα αποτελέσματα τεκμηριώνουν τη συνεχή συμβολή των γυναικών εργαζομένων στην Οικονομική μεγέθυνση της Ελλάδας. Επιπλέον τα στοιχεία δείχνουν μία αυξητική τάση της συμβολής των εκπαιδευμένων γυναικών που έχουν τελειώσει τριτοβάθμια εκπαίδευση στην οικονομική μεγέθυνση της Ελλάδας την περίοδο 1960-1990.
